“I’ve loved you for your entire life, and I will continue to love you for the rest of mine.” Patches, you were born perfect for me, at the perfect time, when I would need you most. For sixteen years you brought me so much joy. Just walking back into the room to see you lying on the bed brought a smile to my face and made my heart feel full. I will miss you every day and learning to live without you will be the hardest thing in the world. Having you follow me around the house, and hearing your nails click on the floors are just two of the things that brought joy to my heart. We spent every day together and I promised I would never leave you. For the most part, I kept my promise. I wish I could have given you more in life, however, I do know you were loved. I look forward to the day I can cuddle with you again. Until then, please have lots of fun, and eat lots of chicken, cheese, and watermelon. I love and miss you so much <3.
