Jessie

When we rescued Jessie from a kill shelter in Alabama, she had just given birth to a litter and needed a home. Our family was in some turmoil at the time. Nine years later we were all holding hands around her, saying goodbye. We have never been closer as a family. That’s what one dog can do for humans, and I think it’s how she said thank you to us for giving her such a wonderful life.
