I found ‘little P’ when I was 15, tucked under an abandoned building, she was 3lbs, most of which was fleas. She quickly joined our family, and while she was small, she knew what she wanted and would make sure you knew it, too. Piž was loved by all who knew her, even though she was also known affectionately as the ‘Evil Kitty’. Piž was there for so many important moments, first finals, first weeks away at camp, first days of college, big graduations, engagements, bridal showers, and our marriage. When we moved into our first apartment she quickly found where she belongs in life, as the queen of her own castle. I will always remember her pigeon noies, how much she loved ribbons and ham, her ‘soul sucking face’, her normal glare, the nights spent with her sleeping on my back, when she let me hold her like a baby, and having her up on my shoulders like a parrot.
Thank you for being my girl, for loving me and allowing me to love you.
Thank you to Dr. Sandra who was the epitome of compassion on one of the hardest days of our lives. Dr. Sandra made an impossible moment a little bit more barable. Thank you, Dr. Sandra.
