We said goodbye to our beloved Sofie (AKA Bean) on Saturday, August 23rd- she was a defiant diva to the very end, but after battling CKD for the better part of a year, she let us know it was time. Dr. Sandra was truly an angel through the entire process, I cannot imagine a kinder, more gentle and supportive person to help me through such a devastating moment. Sofie was my first-ever pet who stuck by me through 5 moves, 4 jobs, a pandemic, a breakup (and subsequent make-up) and tolerated endless silly songs, novelty hats, and tiny kisses on her perfect little apricot of a head.
She loved sunbeams, fuzzy blankets, chin scritchins and any food she could steal off our plates (or the floor). No amount of time with her could have ever been enough but I am endlessly grateful for the 10 years we had with her. Thanks Beanie for making me your mom – I’ll love you forever. See you in my dreams…
