Windstar, I adopted you in January 2020. I had seen your picture on the rescue group’s website, and the look in your beautiful eyes moved me. I knew we were meant to be together. You had been in a hoarding situation in Texas, and at 8 years old you came to New Jersey to start a new life with me. I already had Dinah, and she could not stand other dogs – yet she liked you from the beginning, so that says a lot about you!
Thank you for being my friend; I am so glad that you were my dog. I hope you know that I wanted you, and that your home was with me. Our walks together meant so much to me. And how you loved your food! The way you ate biscuit treats, the enthusiastic look on your face, always made me laugh. I loved that when you got into the car, right away you would stand in between the two front seats and look around, as if to say, “Ok, where are we going?”
I’ve been so sad since you crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 22, 2024. I miss you. Our souls are intertwined for all eternity, Windstar. I will always love you.
